FOF 8

Post by koprnkc »

So, was on the STEAM site looking over FOF 8. Alot of interesting stuff. One thing I noticed is the Jim kept the asinine coach draft. Really? It was / is a gimmicks in 7, and should have been retired. IF this was truly a new build then he could have implemented a better way to hire coaches.

As may be a lot of the personnel windows. Have a feeling my base defense vs. 4/5 wide will get me killed.

Maybe I am too old but my first impression is that the roster view is harder to read, seems a bit to fancy.

Coach draft is real important (coordinators anyway) as you can only play the defense that your coordinator wants to and on the offense you (I'm sure) get a small bonus to sticking with your co-ord's style.
The PITTSBURGH Steelers
2040: over 250 million cap dump in 2 years
2045: arguably best team - lost in AFC championship
2046: 110 million cap dump coming; was 6-10
2047: more pain

So poaching someone's staff may be more important than their player's?

Not to sound like an elitist or anything - - but is it me, or does FoF8 seem much more simplified? I love the ability to design plays though. Great addition. It's always really put me in the mood to comb over statistic of upcoming teams and tweak the percentages to my liking accordingly.

I think FOF-MP Leagues will have to rethink their Coach draft situation, I am going to want specific
Styles of Offense and Defense, I will not care who they are but I will need my guys and only my guys.
I will NOT use a 3-4 defense Coach. I hope this can get arranged before I nuke the city over getting the wrong Coaches.

I think it may be crazy for that first staff draft but afterwards can likely be handled by a simple radio button. Have you seen what the in-game coach draft things look like yet, I have not got that far.
