Now that I am starting to let go of some longtime players, figured I would eulogize some guys. No OL, guys with a narrative only:

WR-HB Liam Wilson, 10 years as a Saint, 4th round pick, 1 All-Pro at RB and another at WR. Close to 11K scrimmage yards, 76 TDs. He played a pivotal role in both runs to the Bowl game in 2035 and 2038 playoffs and won 3 rings.

He was drafted just a few years after Givgore when we started our TE-fueled power spread offense which has driven our success this past decade. For 3 years, he was an archetype for Gage James, being our lead back and hauling in 50-60 targets to the tune of roughly 2000 yards from scrimmage each of his first 3 years.

We were short a receiver and had some other options at RB and decided to risk it and change him to receiver while paying a modest extension.He put up over 9 ypa in his first year at the new postion as a tertiary option and then moved into our de facto WR #1 operating mostly out of the slot before tacking on 2 more years as a secondary option and frequent sub for injured starters before falling out of use this past season. During his prime he had every bar between 50-70 pretty much was likely overmatched as a WR1 but foudna way to contribuute even when he dipped into the 40s.

Always a roster spot for a guy like this even at WR he could be anything from a number 2 to a number 4 and find a way to contribute.

SLB Eugene Clark, 10 years a Saint, starter at SLB the whole dang time (think he only missed 4 games the whole time), nearly 10K snaps, never broke 5.5 sacks and only 2 seasons above 80 tackles.

Man, did we burn some draft capital trying to find what we wanted in our 34 OLBs. Believe it was 3 1st and 2 2nds just to get him as our 1st. Finally got our man and held on like dear life. Made a goddang fortune as a Saint (over $200MM) and has 3 rings as well.

Much like Wilson, just a guy who is 50-70 everywhere you want and no reason not to keep him. Can't see playoff stats but i know he had some huge plays for us many times.

Looks like he will cash in for another $25/2 deal before heading into the sunset a very rich man.
