Week 2 Denver 30 Chicago 11

Wolf and the broncos shut down the run and then played to stop the pass.
Cutler was player of the game and threw 2 TD Passes vs his old team.
Hopefully we got that out of our system...and he got it out of his, although we wont play Denver that often

Week 3

Chicago 30 Dallas 20

Wicox wins the battle of the Rookie QBs, but Gunn played pretty well...especially early on
The Oline is still a concern, and will continue to be until we find a LT
Lance Briggs led the defense with 3 sacks

Week 4

Chicago 24 San Francisco 20

The shocker by the Bay...I figured Wilcox would be sent to school vs the 49ers but he stood tall and made the throws
We still cant run very well but the defense played their bend but dont break style again and we held on late...for the win

still no action on the trade front...for a real left tackle
thats where I think all of our running game problems start

Week 5

Chicago 38 Arizona 31

An old fashioned shootout
Neither team ran all that well and neither team could stop the other teams passing game very well.
We cant expect to keep winning if we cant run...and now we will be without CB Desmond Trufant for a while with the dreaded strained hammy. After the St Louis game we have a Bye so...maybe that will help.

Still no movement on the trade front for a LT
Perhaps we need to experiment some with the players that are here

Week 6

Chicago 24 St Louis 23

We won this battle but we are losing the war...on injuries.
CB Jennings and WLB Werner went down in this game
Jennings for 3 weeks...Werner probably for the season.

The Running Game is still weak and the defense is now missing our 2 Corners
Briggs can fill the pass rush Lb spot, but not having Jennings or Trufant is a real problem
Our Safeties will need to help out...a lot

Week 7 was our Bye

Week 8 we Play The Vikings...in Minnesota
This will be the first big test for us...a Divisional Game vs last seasons Division Winner
With WLB Werner out, Lance Briggs returns to his old spot at WLB
Covering for the 2 injured Corners may prove difficult
There has even been talk of using safety Conti at CB in some packages
GM Red Zone has ruled out using CB Desmond Trufant, saying..."We wont risk further injury to try and win one game."

Controlling Adrian peterson will be the key on defense, and running the ball better would help a lot on offense.

Week 8

Minnesota 41 Chicago 34

Adrian Peterson tore us apart, running for 154 yards and catching passes for 80 more.
While the Bears Offense tried to keep up, our defense was no match for The Vikings Offense.
We Get another chance Week 15...hopefully we will have most of our injured players back by then.

Week 9

Chicago 42 Detroit 37

QB Wilcox throws 4 TDs, but also 3 Ints as the Bears outlast the Lions in a shootout
The Running Game is still almost nonexistent and the defense needs to get some players healthy again...soon.
With Seattle and Green Bay next on the schedule, CB Tim Jennings and DE Stansly Maponga will be back in the lineup.
WLB Bjoern Werner is almost surely lost for the season and CB Desmond Trufant is out indefinitely with the dreaded strained hammy.
Seattle will be a strong test, and Green Bay might be the seasons biggest game
Most experts think the Bears will lose both games, but even if they do...6-4 after 10 games would be a lot better than anyone would have predicted in preseason.
What concerns Bears fans most is the team's lack of draft picks to address the running game.
This could be a problem for 3 seasons...making most Bears games the kind of shootouts we saw today.

Week 10
Seattle 20 Chicago 17

Week 11
Green Bay 35 Chicago 28

Week 12
San Diego 25 Chicago 17

Week 13
Chicago 34 Atlanta 31

So the Bears sit at 7-5 and at the moment are clinging to the last wild card spot in the NFC.
With KCY, MIN, OAK and GBY left on the schedule, and NOS, CAR, TBY, PHI, STL and SFO all chasing them...the pressure is on now to try and win 2 or 3 of these games...even though that looks like a pretty tall order.
KCY has been on a roll lately, OAK leads the AFC west and the Bears have already lost to MIN and GBY.

Whatever happens its been a fun season watching Buddy Wilcox develop
No matter what happens this season...we know the future is bright in Chicago

Week 14
Kansas City 21 Chicago 19

Week 15
Chicago 24 Minnesota 10

Week 16
Oakland 23 Chicago 20

Week 17
Green Bay 30 Chicago 17

So the Bears finish 8-8 and miss the playoffs
Dont expect major changes
With very few Draft choices after the Buddy Wilcox Trade, GM Red Zone will be shopping at the Dollar Store this offseason
